Some of the more common lumps and bumps in pets include:

  • Lipomas – soft, fatty lumps that are usually harmless but can grow or affect movement
  • Cysts – fluid-filled sacs that can burst or become infected
  • Warts and skin tags – often harmless but can become sore if caught or knocked 
  • Abscesses – painful swellings caused by infection, often from bites or scratches 
  • Tumours – not all are cancerous, but it’s important to check them early

It’s worth booking a vet check if a lump or bump 

  • Is new or has changed in size, shape, or colour 
  • Seems sore, or starts to bleed or ooze
  • Is being licked or scratched more than usual
  • Comes with changes in your pet’s behaviour or general wellbeing

Do I need to be an existing client?
No. You’re welcome to book whether you’re new to us or already registered. 
Will my pet need to be sedated?
Most lumps can be checked without sedation. If we need to look more closely, your vet will talk you through the options.

Your vet will explain what they’ve found in clear, simple terms and guide you through the next steps, so you can decide what’s right for your pet. 

Terms and Conditions

1. Offer description

The Promotion entitles clients to receive a £25 veterinary consultation for the purpose of checking a pet’s lump. This Offer excludes: 
  • Checks for additional conditions or illnesses 
  • Any additional procedures which may be required for the purposes of diagnosing the lump such as x-rays, ultrasound or CT scans.
  • Any follow-on care required – such as chemotherapy or further surgery the investigation and treatment of:  
  • Any unexpected complications that occur during the planned treatment; and  
  • any pre-existing diseases or health-conditions (including any which have a negative interaction with anaesthesia). 
Such treatments may be performed during the appointment, if deemed necessary by the attending vet and the pet keeper consents. The treatments not included in the promotion will be charged at an additional cost.  

2. Offer Consult fee follow-on treatment redemption 
  • The £25 consult fee is redeemable against lump removal or lump treatment, excluding medication. 
3. Who can benefit
  • To qualify for this offer, you must be registered with a participating IVC practice. If you're not currently a client, you can still redeem the offer by registering your pet with one of the participating practices and booking the lump check for your pet within the Offer Period (as defined below). 
4. How to redeem  
  • Book your lump check between 13 April 2026 and 24 May 2026 at a participating IVC Evidensia practice (“the Offer Period”).  
  • Appointments for lump check, and initial follow-on treatment against which the £25 consult fee is redeemable must be completed by 23:59 on 7 June 2026.  
  • Appointments can be booked online, by phone, or in person.  
  • Mention the offer when booking or during registration.  
5. Terms and Conditions  
  • Offer valid at participating IVC clinics only.  
  • The offer is valid for one lump check per pet. The offer cannot be used multiple times for the same pet.  
  • This offer cannot be combined with other offers, including Pet Health Club discounts.  
  • The offer is non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.  
  • Any attempt to sell or transfer the offer will make it void.  
  • We may withdraw or amend the offer at any time, with reasonable notice, or without notice if required by law or due to circumstances beyond our control.  
  • We accept no liability for losses resulting from cancellation or withdrawal of the offer, provided we comply with these terms.  
  • If any one or more of these terms are found to be invalid or unenforceable, they will be removed, and the remaining terms will remain in full effect.

All services are provided in accordance with the IVC Terms of Sale for Veterinary Services and on the participating veterinary practice’s website.
